DEBACLE - CANBERRA

Debacle
30 Lonsdale St
Braddon, Canberra

Debacle has become a really popular place. It serves interesting food, a great variety of drinks and is well set out.

Service is friendly and efficient and it has a pub/cafe/restaurant/wine bar feel to it - but with a bit more.

The sigara borek is soooo light and delicate. Filled with a smooth hot creamy cheese centre it just melts in your mouth. For $10.90 you get six sticks - but remember, they will be hard to share once you taste them.

The coffee is good here too. Nice aroma, strong smooth taste and not over-cooked. A cup costs $3.50.

The pear and blackberry bread was substantial and decent. It was moist and tasty but would have been nicer if plated instead of handed over in plastic for dining in.

Debacle is hot right now. It has a pleasant atmosphere, great food and a good drinks list and is well worth stopping by for a visit! Mains generally go from $19.90 to $27.90, desserts are all $8.90 and tasting plates range from around $10 to $15.
