MOVIDA NEXT DOOR - MELBOURNE CBD

Movida Next Door
164 Flinders St
Melbourne CBD

I must admit I like tapas and I like the Movida's. Having recently visited Movida it was time to go next door - of course to Movida Next Door.

I was dining with G but I failed to take my camera sadly - this solitary picture was from an over full phone. We had several treats including the clams, the chorizo mini burgers, the squid with black ink aoili, the stuffed peppers and of course the eggplant chips pictured here.

I've never had eggplant chips before so I expected them to be somehow soggy. They weren't. They were crisp and light and went brilliantly with the dipping sauce - a blend of olive oil, tomato puree and spices.

I suspect the Movida group will continue to be on my hit list - its great food and a lovely atmosphere - and the service was good as well. It's not dirt cheap but I don't think its expensive either for what you are getting. We left full and for two it cost $135. Considering the wine was about $60 you are probably then looking at under $40 a head for a decent feed.
