Olive Bar and Grill sits on the side of Florence Street mall on the "cafe strip" near the fountain. Like all the other places here it has an indoor area and an outdoor area.
They also serve all day breakfast - unlike some of there nearby neighbours - which makes it an attractive option for a weekend brunch.
Its a cheap and cheerful place always serves good hearty food at very reasonable prices.
Mlady wanted her favourite of scrambled eggs on brown toast. They have a dish here of eggs as you like them on toast so this fitted the bill perfectly. What arrived fairly soon after ordering was a hearty serving of scrambled eggs that were cooked nicely. For only $6.90 this is pretty good value anywhere.
My choice was a bit bigger again. Sunny Days on the menu is eggs sunny side up with bacon, tomato, mushrooms and toast. Its a substantial meal and all for under $10.00. Throw in a couple of coffees and you're still not hitting the hip pocket much at all for a good start to the day. The coffees could have arrived a bit faster as we were half way through our meals. Olive Bar and Grill has friendly service and the food is well prepared and substantial at a low price. Its a good place for a decent feed.
