Some of the places:
- Ferment Asian - Tanunda - Lovely meal in this great Asian restaurant. The food was delicious and oh so fresh and the decor and service was excellent. Its a lovely place with several intimate rooms so you're never crowded - and a good wine list. Try the Saigon sugar cane prawns to start with and finish with the Lime Brulee - awesome. This is a must do restaurant when visiting the Barossa - go there. Its also not overly expensive - for the standard it sets.
- The Clubhouse - Tanunda - This is a large and very popular place on a side street in Tanunda so it could be missed if you're simply trawling the main drag of Murray Street looking for a place to dine. You should ideally book - otherwise you may miss out. Whilst it should be described as bistro or pub food - its better than that. The servings are generous and well presented and the quality is good. The steaks are cooked to order and the burgers are huge! Its a good place for a decent meal.
Linkes Nuriootpa Bakery and Tearoom - Nuriootpa - Pleasant cafe/bakery with an interesting assortment of food to have there and even more variety to take away. Decent place for a bite.

- Vine Inn Hotel - Nuriootpa - This place has reasonable pub food in a sprawling room. Whilst the atmosphere isn't probably anything outstanding the Vine Inn still seems to be a fairly popular option in town. You can get a good sized meal at decent prices and the basic salad bar gives you some extra options if you're particularly hungry.
- Grant Burge Ilparra Fortified Wine Store - Tanunda - Quaint place. You can have a pleasant coffee and cake in a quirky location - which seems to have private crypts for you to sit in for this! Interesting just for the surroundings but the coffee and scones were decent too.
- Wohlers Furniture & Homewares (in-store cafe) - Tanunda - Pleasant place with adequate food but a very limited range. Lovely furniture to look at before or after eating. Fell in love with a bar for sale there!
- Gossips Cafe Gallery - Angaston - This is a strangely nice cafe. Strange - in the sense that you don't expect it when you walk in. It looks like a gallery - because it is - so you don't necessarily expect good coffee or food. The range isn't huge, but its good. The coffee is good too. However, its the quirkiness of the place that's the main attraction. You sit at amazing wooden carved tables and on the same type of unique chairs (or stools). As its a gallery, its a place that's extremely interesting both as a cafe and as somewhere to have a casual browse around. The service is quick and friendly. Worth a look.
- Rendezvous House Cafe - Angaston - Lovely old house serving very nice breakfast, lunch and dinner - although we only had breakfast. Its a pretty place in a pretty town - a real heritage look to it. If you want intimacy this place is perfect with a variety of small rooms rather than one large one. The menu is good as is the food (and coffee).
- Maggie Beer's Farm Shop - near Nuriootpa - This is an amazing location. Have a wander around and see the birds - the peacocks are beautiful. Sit outside on the deck that overlooks the picturesque lagoon, if its a fine day, and enjoy some tasty food and good coffee. Then after indulging in this you can sample some delicacies inside - with plenty of samples available before you choose!
