We loved Chefs Gallery. The food was amazing, the service immaculate and the surroundings were pleasant and appealing. We cant wait to get back there again.
The first dish to arrive was the prawn and pork wontons in a Shanghainese spicy sauce. What a starter! The wontons were amazing and the sauce they were in was out of this world. At only $8.90 I'd gladly order one each next time.
We then had vegetarian spring rolls served with mango chutney. They were not your traditional spring rolls - they were almost meat like inside and the mango chutney went perfectly with them. Again a bargain at $11.90 - considering the quality.
Then we had shredded Peking duck with cucumber and hoi sin sauce rolled inside a fluffy Chinese roti. This amazingly combined two of our favourite things - Peking duck and roti - and boy did they combine well. At $15.90 they were a good choice.
We then finished with a specialty of the house for dinner time - Trillium prawn dumplings. These were described as - steamed for 7-8 minutes and carefully garnished with 3 coloured fish roe and caviar, a masterpiece. They looked amazing and tasted good - but probably should have been the first dish brought to the table as their subtle flavours were a bit overpowered by the dishes we had eaten earlier. They cost $16.90.
Chefs Gallery is amazing. Its got to be one of the best dining experiences we've had in Sydney and we'll certainly be back there as soon as possible.

The next treat was the new Macanese style mini burgers filled with pork fillet, lettuce, pork floss and mayo - described as wholesome and flavoursome. They were all this and more and quite novel - and at $13.90 were again excellent value for what we got.
