Sawadee has a pleasant decor and feel to it. It draws you in from the street. You are then made to feel very welcome with good service and lovely food. We love Thai food and this was good stuff.

We started with Thai fish cakes (below left). They were plump and juicy and light. Some fish cakes can be quite heavy - almost stolid (always wanted to use that word) - but these were great. The sauce that came with them was tangy and went well.

Our mains were also great. Mlady craved soup so the tom kha soup (below left) appealed. Its a light mild soup made with coconut milk and filled with mushrooms. She said it was delicious and a decent quantity for only around $6.00 to $7.00.

Sir, not surprisingly seeking something a bit more substantial, chose the red curry prawns. The curry had plenty of bite and flavour. It also had a good dose of prawns as well. Again this was very reasonably priced.

Sawadee has good decor, nice food, fast and friendly service and low prices. Go there and try it out - it's worth it.
