For a wonderfully delicious authentic Indian meal with amazing views - Spiced By Billu's scores a double tick here. The food is incredibly flavoursome. They have a diverse menu where you can sit and eat in one of the most relaxing locations in Sydney - Barangaroo.
The weather was a bit chilly but we had the option of having the heater on or wrapping a warm blanket around us. Mlady chose the nice warm blanket which did the job perfectly.
To drink we had a very nice Tempranillo which complemented our food perfectly. Our starter was the Entrée Tasting Board with Onion Bhaji (a fave of Sir's), Seekh Kebab and Garlic Prawns. This was a nice substantial selection that was appetisingly presented with wonderful aromas. We both really enjoyed this.
We then had an amazing Goat Biryani which could probably be a meal in itself. It was a big tasty dish with lots of hefty chunks of goat meat in among the spicy rice and other goodies.
We chose two curries - Mango Chicken and Prawn Malabari. We were asked how hot we wanted the curries to be - a nice touch - and we both agreed on Medium
The sides we chose were steamed rice and Plain Naan. When the food arrived - the aromas were divine, the colours were so vibrant and there was plenty to eat - that you would not leave feeling hungry! How fluffy was the rice! How nice was the Naan - it tasted as good as it looked!
Oh and the curries - where to start! The curries each had their own unique flavour. They were all cooked perfectly. The mango chicken was so tender and the prawns were plump and juicy. Mlady is a huge fan of mangoes and the mango curry chicken was so good. The sauces were incredible too. Soaking them up with the rice - Yum! Dipping the Naan in them - Lovely! We both thoroughly enjoyed our very scrumptious curries.
For dessert we shared Gulab Jamun. This was a nice refreshing dessert to complete our very tasty and substantial meal.
The food at Spiced By Billu's is very good, fresh and great tasting. The combinations teamed with mouth watering herbs and spices are Divine with a capital D! There is so much to choose from that there is something for everyone. Servings are substantial - you certainly won't leave hungry!
