The White Wall
Shop 3/40 Bayswater Rd
Potts Point, Sydney
We were in Potts Point early-ish and wanted a nice and warm brekkie. The day was sunny but it was still chilly. The White Wall is quirky with unique artwork on the wall that you can buy. There was outside seating with heaters but we decided to eat inside and look around us at the artwork and the cute plants adorning the shelves.
We ordered our usual coffees. Sir had a skim flat white and Mlady had a half strength (weak) soy cappuccino. The coffees were good - a "good cuppa".
Being chilly Mlady opted for porridge and asked if she could have it with skim milk to which they were very accommodating and did make the porridge with skim milk. It came with dried cranberries, sliced banana and almond slivers. This was a nice and certainly tasty porridge and for the chilly day - it was perfect. Porridge is such a good way to start the day.
Sir loves avocado and egg so when he saw there was a dish on the menu that has this, he chose it. The smashed avocado looked so appetising with the vibrant sliced tomato arranged on top and this was all sitting on multigrain bread. It was nicely seasoned and the egg was poached with a beautiful runny yolk.
The White Wall is a quaint, quirky and compact spot to grab a bite, take in the artwork and enjoy a good feed. There's a good selection of sweet and savoury food and the coffee is good too.
