The Hunt for Sydney’s Best Cosmopolitan

We all have our “go to” cocktails. Sometimes we have several, depending on things like the time of day, before or after meals, holidays or after work, beachside or rooftop bar etc. You get the picture. Well at the moment for M’Lady it’s the cosmopolitan and we’ve decided to embark on a journey over the coming weeks and months to find where the best of these brews are in Sydney.
So what are the parameters you ask? Good question. Well it’s got to be a traditional cosmo. Yes, the fancied up ones are great too, but to compare you need the same base. It needs to be in Sydney as well. This means broader Sydney, not just the CBD. It’s a big area but we’re prepared for it! It needs to be a cocktail - as in a drink in a glass. A jug won’t work. The cosmopolitan needs to be made to order too - not pre-prepared.
The specifics of the location certainly help but aren’t necessarily the final factors. Sure a water or harbour view is nice, but so are city lights. A moody speakeasy has vibe but a bustling bar or pub has atmosphere too. Good service helps anywhere too of course. The timeframe from order to delivery needs to be appropriate for the process too but not so long that you’ve forgotten that you ordered it!
