The Choc Pot
7/1 Railway Parade
Burwood, Sydney
The Choc Pot is a cosy cafe across the road from Burwood Plaza that serves home made delicious chocolate indulgences.
It has a lovely kitchen feel to it with seating inside and outside and bright furniture offsetting the chocolate hues of the walls and ceiling.
They have so many goodies here to choose from and everything is made here on the premises - even down to the marshmallows and honeycomb.
The Choc Pot has only recently opened and they are already generating quite a loyal following.
There was a regular churn of customers while we were there and lots of happy faces when the rich and decadent desserts arrived!
So the big decision here is where to start - there are so many options once you start looking at the board.
They also have some interesting milkshakes and herbal teas as well.
We knew it would be hard to beat the souffle - but for me the molten choc pot did achieve this while Mlady narrowly preferred the souffle.
For the molten choc pot they warn you to prepare for an eruption of molten chocolate from this freshly baked mischievous little fondant - and they are so right. The rich molten chocolate centre was amazing - we loved it! This dish is awesome.
The clear cups and saucers look impressive and the teas are excellent.
We shared the Japanese lime green tea and it went refreshingly well with our tasty treats and nicely offset the richness of the chocolate.
She was right - it was a really great caramel slice.
If you have a sweet tooth then get to The Choc Pot!
Sir and Mlady dined as guests of The Choc Pot. Special thanks to Ash and Deej for the invitation and for looking after us so well on the night.

The choc souffle with salted caramel is one of the signature dishes - and for very good reasons as we soon discovered. It was described as a light and fluffy souffle with a cheeky pan of salted caramel on the side. This really didn't do the dish justice - it was so much more than that! The souffle tasted absolutely wonderful with lovely textures and a gooey centre. The salted caramel and vanilla ice cream was also very tasty and went perfectly with the souffle. It was a winner in every way!

One of my absolute all time favourite sweet treats is caramel slice! I love this stuff - and by this I mean really really love it! We were just about to leave when we discovered they made their own version here. I was lucky enough to get a piece to try, and generous enough to share it with Mlady, and her verdict was "how nice was that!".
She was right - it was a really great caramel slice.
