Egg of the Universe

If you visit a place called Egg of the Universe for brunch there’s probably a high likelihood that you’re going to order eggs, right? Well they’ve got a lot more on offer than just eggs, but we did in fact go the egg way after all. It just seemed - well - the right thing to do.
Firstly, this is a deceptively pretty place. From the street it looks like a smallish coffee purveyor but go through to the back and an oasis is revealed. Their rear courtyard is so charming with a giant tree in the middle and a pebble layered terrace with scattered tables.
Sir fancied an egg and bacon roll but there wasn’t one on the menu. He asked anyway and happily discovered they do this. What arrived was massive. There was a huge pile of bacon with a perfectly cooked egg all inside two nicely toasted pieces of sourdough.
Mlady went for poached eggs instead of her more usual scrambled ones. Again the eggs were beautifully cooked and the two massive pieces of sourdough made this another big tasty meal.
The coffees were good here too. They arrived quickly after ordering which was great.
Apart from the pretty courtyard out the back, there is more seating inside. They’ve fitted the place out really well. There’s more than food here too. It’s actually a yoga studio!
Egg of the Universe is a nice place. They do eggs well, but do a lot more than just this. It’s a lovely place too and well worth a visit.
