It was the Westfield Hornsby Long Lunch – part of the Eat Drink Westfield festival, and the Asian inspired menu was totally delicious. Westfield Hornsby has certainly come a long way with its food options and it's now quite the foodie hub. The fare for the day was a showcase of dishes from three of Westfield’s restaurants, with Infuzions providing the dessert.
Alternate serves of two impressive desserts were served with a flourish! “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” was a soft meringue-covered ice cream mound which was topped with Grand Marnier and ignited for each person. As the meringue browned, lemon crumbs were sprinkled over to finish this gorgeous dish. It was delicious.
“A Love Affair in Paris” was the alternate dessert – a creamy custard-filled sponge under a white chocolate dome was placed before us. Piping hot bittersweet berry compote was gently poured over the chocolate shell. The chocolate melted slowly over the filling and it was a truly beautiful thing to behold! Even better was the taste. What an awesome combination of flavours!
Infuzions looks like a chic but cosy eatery, with outdoor and indoor seating options and very pleasant décor. We checked out the menu while we were there and it looked very tempting.
These desserts from Infuzions were certainly a highlight of the day and we were happy to have participated in this event.
Infuzions is open 7 days a week and I know these Dames will be checking them out again soon. Those Dames dined as guests of Infuzions and Westfield Hornsby. Special thanks to Leah for arranging this visit.
