Rozelle Espresso

Rozelle, Sydney
Rozelle Espresso was light, fresh and had great coffee - everything you want your Saturday morning to be! The staff met us with a friendly smile and showed us to our table, and the first thing we noticed were the high ceilings and the bring decor. It was buzzing, but not too loud and was big enough that you could get a table without having to queue - a rarity on the Sydney brunch scene. It’s also a super family-friendly venue with space for prams and a play area at the back of the cafe.
As usual, we began our breakfast with our standard long black and mocha order while we perused the menu. The coffee was strong and delicious and definitely packed a punch, the wakeup we needed!
The all day breakfast menu includes some great favourites like Eggs Benedict and Shakshouka. There was also a kids breakfast menu so you can take the family without breaking the bank.
The Viscount ordered the 'Famous Smashed Avocado and Feta', with a side of bacon and scrambled eggs. There is a reason they are famous for this dish, it was outstanding in a city full of smashed avocado. The avocado was generous and perfectly ripe and the feta was a perfect match with the hint of lemon. The bacon was crispy and the eggs were creamy and smooth. On top of quinoa, linseed and soya bread the dish was both healthy and delicious.
The Viscountess chose her absolute favourite brunch dish - sweet corn and zucchini fritters and it was definitely a strong contender against her extremely high fritter standards. With the addition of a poached egg, which was perfectly cooked, this was a delicious breakfast. The avocado and tomato salsa added a fresh and zingy element to the dish, and the crisp of the flat bread was a thoughtful touch to add yet another texture. Overall, a definite winner in our books!
Rozelle Espresso also offer an extensive lunch menu that includes burgers, pastas and salads that we will definitely be back to try out! We were tempted on our way out to indulge in one of the delicious baked goods in the window, but we were completely satisfied with our delicious meal.
The Viscountess and Viscount dined as guests of Rozelle Espresso. A huge thank you to Flavia and the team at Rozelle Espresso for hosting us. Special thanks also to Claire and April from CPM Online Marketing for arranging this visit.
