For a tasty Thai infused meal with a varied menu to suit everyone – Koh Chang Thai Restaurant certainly has this to offer. The service is very friendly and the wait staff are very accommodating in explaining in detail what the dishes are.
We each had a drink with Sir choosing the popular Chang beer and Mlady chose a diet coke.
Our food was elegantly presented and the aroma certainly was appetising. From the lunch menu we had a beef curry – Massaman Beef. This consisted of slow-braised chunky beef cooked in massaman curry, onion and potato. This is one of Mlady’s favourites and this dish was deliciously tender - the meat just melted and the flavours were very tasty.
Next we tried the Caramelised Squid - salt and pepper with a tamarind dressing sprinkled with fried onion. Both loving seafood, this dish was another winner. The caramelised squid was soft – not at all rubbery - and the salt and pepper flavour – which is such a great combo, just enhanced this very yummy dish.
Pork belly chilli - twice cooked pork belly braised then stir fried with chilli jam. Sir loves his pork and this dish ticked all the boxes with him. It was tender, tasty and the chilli jam certainly complemented. This dish also had a great “kick” to it.
The food at Koh Chang Thai Restaurant is very tasty and very fresh and appetisingly presented.
