Mays Pizzeria
Shop 4, 1307 Pacific Highway
Turramurra, Sydney
Mays is the new kid on the block. It's tucked away a little down an arcade off the Pacific Highway in Turramurra but it's worth finding for what turned out to be some pretty good pizza's.
Obviously any place called a pizzeria is going to have a key focus on pizza. It's kind of obvious. So our starting point for our group was therefore a few pizza's to share. Marinara is always a favourite so that was a good place to start. Described as a tomato base topped with marinara mix, garlic and shallots it had good flavours and plenty of topping.
More pizza's were ordered and arrived constantly at the table. Each continued the theme of good flavour, a nice base and plenty of toppings to add even more to each slice.
Like a lot of pizza places, a few pasta dishes were also available. The linguine boscaiola was a good sized serving with a mix of bacon, mushrooms and shallots in a cream sauce all topped with Parmesan cheese.
Back to more pizza though. It's clear that they take a lot of pride in what they serve here and their pizza's are the centre piece.
They do also have a good H and P pizza too with, you guessed it, heaps of ham and pineapple on it.
Feeling somewhat healthy, why we don't know, we finished with a vegetarian pizza. Ok, we weren't actually after healthy although you can feel a little satisfied with this all veg version. The piles of topping also leave you guilt free. It was a great finale to a tasty meal.
We left quite satisfied with the food at May's Pizzeria. They offer a good variety of dishes but their pizza's are the highlight.
