The glut of Thai restaurants in and around Haymarket make it almost impossible to miss them and even harder to not visit a few for a quick tasty lunch or a more leisurely dinner. Sir and Duke dropped in to Thainatown for a very quick lunch time bite and weren't disappointed with the food or pace of service.
Not surprisingly, there is a lunch menu that offers various combo deals. Sir chose a combo deal that started with a tasty curry puff served with sweet chilli sauce for dipping.
Seeking something spicy on a cold day, his main course was the green curry chicken with rice. It also came with a drink. Good deal! The curry had a good kick to it which was exactly what he wanted and it was a decent sized serving too.
Duke went for a more sedate Thai fried rice for lunch. This "meal on a plate" dish is ideal for those that like a great combination all at once. He certainly enjoyed it and devoured the lot.
Haymarket is often referred to as Thainatown, and this place, New Thainatown, epitomises the area in more than just its name. It has good quality food, served quickly and at affordable prices.
