Pishon
77 Rowe St
Eastwood, Sydney
Eastwood is one of the Asian food hubs of Sydney. It basically has just about every Asian food option you can imagine. Needless to say, it’s busy there. With all this tasty food around, it’s also good to see some dessert and cake shops scattered throughout the place. Even though most places serve up massive sized portions for their starters and mains, there are still plenty of people seeking out sweets to end their meal. Pishon is certainly a place to go for this in the area.
They have a good range of choices too. We eyed off the cheesecakes, the macarons and various other pastries and tarts. Decisions are heard when there are so many things to choose from!
The strawberry tart just looked so good. It came in good sized slices and the pieces were well covered with fresh strawberries popping with colour on top. It tasted good too with a nice pastry base and a filling that wasn’t over-sweet.
Baked cheesecake is a “go to” for us and as it was available here we went to it! It was a light version that was ideal after eating way to much for dinner.
We washed it down with a few drinks. The virgin mojito was a tasty drop that was almost as good as the real thing - almost!
This was probably the most unusual item we saw. It was pastry filled with a red bean paste and giant slabs of butter. Yep - the big yellow chunks in these babies is all butter! Must help it all slip down better!
They also do bingsoo here too. And lets not forget their waffles - big enough to share! The’se plenty to choose from here!
Pishon gets a steady flow of foot traffic through their doors here. There are so many restaurants in the area it’s great to see the sweet finale catered for.
