Saute Thai Restaurant
18 Phillip Street
Parramatta, Sydney
For some seriously good Thai with generous servings you cant go wrong with Saute Thai in Parramatta.
Mlady and friend C went here to have a nice and relaxing lunch.
There are tables outside but they decided to eat inside to also soak up the ambience of the tastefully designed decor which adorns the restaurant.
To drink they had the complimentary water and just focussed on the food. The menu is extensive and also includes a cocktails list which has some very popular cocktails - Mojito and Tequila sunrise to name a few - and a few unusual ones as well.
For her meal Mlady ordered an all time favourite - Massaman beef. This consisted of tender beef chunks in Massaman curry with coconut milk, onions, cashew nuts and baby potatoes. Instead of having some steamed rice she had this with a side of Roti which was nice. This really was such a good flavoursome dish where the tender beef chucks literally just fell away as you cut into them - lovely. Such a really tasty rich curry sauce, which added to the great meal. The serving size of this meal was generous too!
Friend C ordered Koo-Wa Gai Noodle. This was described on the menu as - a delicious sweet soy sauce and a stir-fry of chicken, prawns, flat rice noodles and bean shoots. It was sprinkled with roasted onion and peanuts. Friend C thoroughly enjoyed this very tasty dish and being a fan of flat rice noodles - she said it was delicious. Everything combined so well with this dish, the chicken, the prawns etc and it was again such a substantial meal!
If you're in the Parramatta area looking for a big tasty feed, the Saute Thai is worth a look - and then a visit. It's highly rated for very good reasons!
