Delicious Southern Italian food with a very good wine list and a scrumptious dessert - the all time classic - Tiramisu - is what you will find at Secolo Dining.
To drink Mlady had a divine red from Mt. Etna Sicily. It really was a good drop with an absolutely beautiful flavour that lingered on the palate. Sir had a Montepulciano Rubesto which was a lovely full bodied yet still soft red wine.
To start with we had Burrata with roasted baby peppers, capers, olives and pangrattato. This had lots of great flavours and was a very tasty and refreshing dish with lovely cute crisp basil leaves.
Next was salmon crudo with orange, fennel, bottarga and carasau. How vibrant was this! It had wonderfully fresh colours and flavours that really combined so well. The fresh citrus orange - not at all tart or overpowering, combined well with the salmon on your fork - so nice. A very pretty dish that tasted so good.
The pizza we had was a Diavola - tomatoes, fior di late, hot salame, olives, basil and evoo. Everything about this pizza was just so good! It was a Napolitan pizza (the style from Naples in Italy) and the pizza base - was oh so yummy. It was such a wonderful taste sensation with all those yummy ingredients - and whoa - such a good "bite". After all Naples is where pizza originated. We both simply loved this delicious wood fire pizza!
Our final main was Pappardelle Beef Shin Ragu Reggiano. The beef was so tender, it just fell apart and was cooked perfectly. Pappardelle is such a pretty pasta - like a wide ribbon - and this too was cooked perfectly "al dente". The pasta is all made in-house and we both thoroughly enjoyed this mouth-watering dish.
For dessert - a classic - Tiramisu. This was oh so good. so light, so fluffy and so delish. A truly delectable dessert!
The food at Secolo Dining is really flavoursome with combinations that are appetisingly mouth-watering. Servings are good sized and their wine list is varied with something for everyone. The food can also easily be shared so don't be afraid to order a variety of dishes for everyone at the table to enjoy.
