THE TINY GIANT | PETERSHAM, SYDNEY

The Tiny Giant
110 Audley St
Petersham, Sydney

If like us, you are always on the lookout for new and exciting brunch spots, then make sure you mark ‘The Tiny Giant’ as a must place to visit.  Located in Petersham, a suburb long famous for its Portuguese chicken, The Tiny Giant has quickly become a coffee lover’s dream.

We arrived for a late weekend lunch  and had no difficulty finding parking right outside. The Tiny Giant is full of character, the street is quiet and the vibe is relaxed with lovely wooden tables and décor to match. Given we arrived for a late lunch, we had no difficulty finding a table straight away though we’ve heard during peak times, the place can get quite busy and sometimes there is a short wait for a table.

We normally start with a couple of long blacks but It was a hot day and we were after something  different. Count N, still desperate for a coffee, had a rare cappuccino. They serve Campos coffee here so you know it'll be good. Count J needed a coffee too and opted for an iced Macchiato. A cold take on a coffee classic, Count J said it was the perfect pick me up.

Time to order some food though and one thing the Tiny Giant will have you for, is spoiled for choice. With both a lunch and all day breakfast menu, we had to make some tough decisions as we couldn’t choose what to have. In the end, the Croque Madam and The Tiny Giant Burger won us over.

When it comes to burgers, our expectations are quite high but you will be pleased to hear, the Tiny Giant Burger met all of them, one by one. It started with a fresh wholemeal bun nestling some  mouth-watering chicken. There was rocket, delicious cheese and a very creamy aioli. It ended with, well, you know how it ended. Not a single crumb left. Absolutely delicious.

The Croque Madam was just as exciting. Overflowing with ham, cheese and béchamel sauce, the tasty sourdough bread was topped with a fried egg creating a taste sensation we think everyone needs to try at least once in their life.

We also managed to grab a couple of cronuts to go, which the Tiny Giant is quite famous for. They were fresh, full of delicious fillings like berries, cream and of course lots of chocolate. There were so many more delicious things to try but we just couldn’t fit anything else in.

The Tiny Giant impressed us with its character, delicious food and great service. We loved it so much, we would rate it as one of the top ten brunch places we have visited in Sydney. It won’t be long till we’re back.
