Tropicana Caffe

Darlinghurst, Sydney
Sir and Mlady popped in to Tropicana Caffe for breakfast. This is a famous place as it's the birth place of the world renowned Tropfest - the world’s largest short film festival!
It was a cold morning and we both decided to have a “hot hearty” meal. The venue is huge and airy and it certainly was popular! The numbers for the table are not on the table as you would expect – they are suspended above the table on the roof. How novel is this!
They have a great range of meals and there are displays with different cakes to choose from as well. There is an area where you can choose your sauce of choice, e.g. HP sauce, Tabasco and many more.
We ordered the all-important “first cuppa of the day”. Sir his usual skim flat white and Mlady her usual, a weak soy cappuccino. Coffees are good here and we certainly enjoyed these.
Mlady had something a little different for her for breakfast – an egg and bacon muffin. This was good – really good. The egg was fried as Mlady likes it and the bacon was so delicious and all this was inside a lovely soft bun.
Sir had bacon and poached eggs (you get three here), toast and tomato. Oh yes he certainly enjoyed this big serving to start the day. This brekkie certainly ticked the boxes for him.
Tropicana Caffe is worth popping in to. Their menu is diverse with something for everyone to enjoy and the prices are extremely reasonable too.
