Inferno Grill and Cafe
3/944 Anzac Pde
Maroubra, Sydney
If you are like us and love a good burger then you are going to want to pay Inferno Grill and Cafe a visit sooner, rather than later. They’re located in the heart of Maroubra, right on Anzac Parade with plenty of parking available nearby. The venue has a real authentic diner feel, with an open plan grill where you can see everything made fresh, right in front of you.
We arrived for dinner on a busy Friday night but managed to find a table straight away. Inferno Grill and café is licensed (Count J was particularly happy about that) so we started off with some wine and began scanning the long list of burgers on offer. We were so surprised with how many options were available, we weren’t quite sure what to go for.
Count N, indecisive by nature, finally landed with ‘The Clucking Pig’. This burger is best described as a mountain of mouth-watering southern fried chicken (think 100 times better than other commercial fried chicken), crispy bacon and crunchy coleslaw all smothered in the creamiest aioli. The hardest part was gripping this enormous thing. The taste was sensational and lots of extra napkins were needed whilst enjoying this one. Oh, this one has a hint of chilli in it which was a welcome surprise.
Count J opted for the hog Junior (don’t let the name fool you), boasting a juicy 150 gram beef pattie with pickles, relish and a very special house big yak sauce. Its loaded with flavour and packed with so much mozzarella cheese it was oozing everywhere.
Both burgers were served with huge thick cut chips that were so crispy, we just couldn’t get enough of them.
So even after two massive burgers and some bad boy chips, we just couldn’t get our minds off the Southern Fried Chicken burger that we had seen on the menu. So yes, you guessed it, we ordered one more burger and shared it (Well Count N ate most of it). This one was just as good as the previous two, if not better, with more of that delicious mozzarella oozing out of the burger. We just couldn’t get enough of that cheese!
So after all that food we had to call it a night there just wasn’t any way we could fit in dessert. With delicious food, great service and a real diner atmosphere, Inferno Grill and Café is a great choice for your next burger adventure. Of course, burgers are not the only thing they do well, there were plenty of other options on their menu, so we’ll definitely be back (sooner rather than later) to try more of their delicious food.
Inferno Grill and Café is open 7 days a week from 11am to late so plenty of opportunity to drop by and try their stuff. You won’t be disappointed.
