232 King St
Newtown, Sydney
It's open in four locations across the city and today we visited their Newtown restaurant.
It's a very vibrant space with a modern look but decorated in such a way that gives it a traditional 'milk bar' feel.
There's a very cool couch in the middle of the store with bright leather lounges and funky cushions - perfect for kicking back with your friends and Moo Burgers.
As soon as we walked in we noticed some very impressive artwork on the wall. All customers can contribute to the artwork and crayons are provided by the staff.
Unfortunately for us, art was never our forte, so we were happy to just stay as admirers.
We thought we would start with a milkshake. We had the Just Nuts Milkshake with caramel, chocolate syrup, crushed nuts, topped with a snickers bar - a combination that is just short of sinful.
We also had the Strawberries and Cream Milkshake with malt and whipped cream. The fresh strawberries gave it a very refreshing taste.
They definitely don't hold back on the ice cream and milk here, both milkshakes were very creamy.
The Big Moo is exactly that, BIG. Its the ultimate Aussie burger complete with beef, cheese, bacon, egg, beetroot and pineapple. The homemade mayonnaise is very creamy.
The Wagyu Beef Burger was just as impressive. The melting Tasmanian Brie and caramelised onions oozing over the perfectly seasoned and cooked beef patty was just mouthwatering.
After all this, we were still determined to have dessert.
Sadly we had to make the hard decision to settle with sharing one as there was no way we could fit in a dessert each.
It wasn't hard to choose one, we went with the Moo Split.
With whipped cream, two bananas and pieces of snickers bar on top, the finale to this dinner was just grand.
Moo Gourmet Burgers in Newtown is open 7 days a week.
The Counts, who are now doing reviews for Sir and Mlady Dine Out, dined as guests of Moo Gourmet Burgers. Special thanks to Moo Owner Adam Gerondis for arranging this visit.
