BURGER PROJECT | PARRAMATTA, SYDNEY

Burger Project
20-22 Macquarie St
Parramatta, Sydney

Burger Project - the gastro fast food arm of Neil Perry's ever expanding food empire has now hit Parramatta and we thought we'd better try it out. Not that this is a challenge as we've had their burgers before and were more than happy to go again! The concept is simple, order at the counter and then get a buzzer thingy, grab a table anywhere, wait for the buzzer to go off then back to the counter you go to get your food and drinks. Easy!

The place is certainly pleasant. It has a kind of industrial feel to it with high exposed ceilings and plenty of info across the walls on the food and where it is sourced.

Mlady grabbed a Classic Burger. True to its name is was a very tasty version of your traditional burger with grass fed beef, onion, pickles, tomato and lettuce with a secret sauce all in a lightly toasted bun. It was filling and tasted great with decent sized slices and sheets of filling. You can add extra sauces from a nearby servery.

Sir uncharacteristically went for chicken with the Fried Chicken and Bacon Katsu Burger. This had an enormous piece of crisp and juicy crumbed free range chicken, plenty of smoked bacon, coleslaw, pickles, lettuce and katsu sauce again all in a lightly toasted bun. The chicken was simply great and it was another hearty meal.

Of course there are fries and drinks too. They also have dips for the fries as well as bunless burgers and a vegetarian range of burgers made with mushrooms. They also do a selection of sweet or fruity soft serves for dessert. As it was a workday lunch we conscientiously went for soft drink and left dessert for another day.

Burger Project is rapidly expanding across Australia's food landscape with its tasty range of gourmet burgers that are accessible to everyone.
