Cedarwood Cafe
23 Coonanbarra Rd
Wahroonga, Sydney
Cedarwood Cafe is nestled in a quiet part of Wahroonga shops around the corner from the main strip. It’s location doesn’t seem to cause it any problems thouigh as the foot traffic finds its way here very easily and very often. It’s a busy place with a constant churn of customers dining in or taking away.
Described as Smashed Avo, this dish was so much more. It had charcoal sourdough topped with smashed avocado, two beautifully poached eggs, Persian feta and rocket with a chia-dipped lemon wedge and a big dollop of beetroot hummus. It was big, bold and tasty. The eggs were very well done and the mix of vibrant colours and flavours all worked very well.
The Chicken Mish was another interesting meal. It also had plenty of colour too with its charcoal sourdough slices encasing grilled chicken, smashed avocado, tomato, rocket and aioli. It was big and tasty and a lovely combination.
Eggs and toast sounds so simple yet it has so many variations. Not only do you get to choose how you want the eggs cooked, you also get to choose what type of bread too. This time, the choices were scrambled eggs and toasted sourdough. It was another hearty meal and the eggs were nicely scrambled.
This serving of fries was big and great value too. They came in a metal bucket and we’re crisp, hot and lightly salted.
We also ordered a series of coffees and a small caramel milkshake. Our junior reviewer certainly rated the caramel milkshake highly and the coffees were very good too.
They have an all day menu here so you can have your meal of choice any time you want. We do love this at cafes as the breakfast dishes are perfect for brunch or even lunch!
Cedarwood Cafe have some creative dishes that taste great and are done well. The service was very good too and they were extremely helpful. It’s a pleasant place to drop by for a good coffee and a nice bite.
