Raclette. The sheer deliciousness when you heat this hardish cheese and then scrape the gooey molten outer layer from the wheel onto a sandwich. If you've never had it before you're missing out. Fear not though, Delisse has this treat available for a short time at their outlets in Sydney. We dropped by their Clarence St outlet to have our dose of cheesiness and loved it.
You can have several sandwich options slathered in raclette cheese. We chose prosciutto and pickles on a baguette. It was a simple combination that allowed the true flavours of the ingredients to shine through. Lets not forget to mention the actual baguette too - that bread was delicious.
To round out the lunch we had another baguette - the Parisienne. This tasty ham and gruyere cheese roll with a touch of greenery was again very delish. We really did like the bread there too - it was memorable in its own right.
Of course there's lots more here than just delicious raclette. They have heaps of freshly made salads which looked great, pastries, cakes, croissants, pies and lots more.
There are four Delisse outlets around Sydney and all we can say is that they are well worth visiting. If you go soonish you can try the raclette too - it's a treat worth having as well! We loved it. Sir and Maldy dined as guests of Delisse. Special thanks to Laura from Bistrot Media for this invitation.
