Jamie's Italian Trattoria
Centenary Square, Church St
Parramatta, Sydney
Mlady and a few friends went to Jamie's at Parramatta to try the new menu.
To start Mlady had a non alcoholic cocktail - Ginger Mojito - Mint, lime, sugar and ginger beer. This was a lovely refreshing drink and as Mlady loves ginger - she enjoyed this. A friend had a beer - Peroni - which was enjoyed with their pizza. Beer and pizza - a good combo!
Mlady loves spicy and pasta so ordered - Spicy sausage Fusilli - free range pork and fennel ragu with Quattro Stelle 'nduja, greens, chilli and pecorino. This was generously served with a nice subtle spice. It was a delicious meal and Mlady did enjoy this. It was not til after the meal that Mlady realised that she could have asked for chilli flakes as she does like a lot of spice. Knowing this - she will definitely be back!
Two of her friends had pizza. The Angry Norma - Sweet tomato, Quattro Stelle 'nduja, roasted eggplant, fior di latte & chilli finished with basil and bocconcini.
Funghi - Bechamel sauce, roasted herby mushrooms, fior di latte, cracked black pepper and lemon zest.
Both friends agreed that the pizza dough was nice - lovely and soft. Each of them enjoyed their pizza's which had great flavours and really nice combinations.
All of us agreed that the servings were generous and we thoroughly enjoyed our tasty meals.
