Leichhardt is such a buzzing metropolis of great shopping and great food. This casual café offers mostly outdoor seating so you can watch the world go by while sipping a delicious Campos coffee. Being centrally located opposite Norton Plaza is a bonus as parking was readily available underneath. The menu looks fresh and inviting (we love an all-day breakfast!) and the place was busy but friendly.
Dame A chose a mixed Berry Smoothie, which looked and tasted amazing, to go with her French Toast.
The French toast was nicely presented, topped with strawberries, maple syrup and caramel sauce and it was certainly a thing of beauty. The taste – wonderful!
Dame M had a great Campos coffee with her order of Eggs Benny with bacon and a side of spinach. The eggs were perfect and there was plenty of lovely crispy bacon and oozy hollandaise sauce on top. The spinach was nicely wilted and juicy. It was an impressive dish done really well.
If you don’t fancy a breakfast dish, there’s a good range of burgers and some other lunchy options as well as a kids menu. It’s even licenced. For those just needing a sweet fix, you should check out the cakes at the counter, such as the Nutella Cronuts!
Leichhardt Espresso is open 7 days a week from 6.30 am to 5pm. These Dames certainly enjoyed the experience and even got in a little shopping after.
