Craving a pasta dish for dinner one night we decided to drop in to Marciano's. It's a surprisingly big place and on a Saturday night it was clearly very busy. We were seated, given a menu and time to peruse it. We ordered a couple of glasses of wine - chianti to keep to the Italian theme - and waited for our mains to arrive.
Sir had ordered a simple dish of pappardelle porcini - a combination of home-made pappardelle pasta with porcini mushroom and truffle. It was a lovely combination of earthy flavours that let the ingredients do the talking. The pasta was nicely cooked and it all tasted great together.
Mlady steered towards the traditional lasagne on the menu. The home-made lasagne was made with tomato, mozzarella and Parmesan. It was a big serving with big flavours and big taste. Mlady enjoyed it but struggled to eat it all.
Marciano's - it's a big place with some tasty food. If you don't like things overly busy it may also be worth going on a quieter midweek night.
