The Shed is part of a chain that stretches across Sydney with outlets in a variety of suburbs. This visit was to their Parramatta venue. There is a nice indoor/outdoor feel to the place that makes it ideal for a casual breakfast, brunch or lunch.
Their sweet potato fries are a go to for us. They’re a nice change from the usual potato fries and a perfect sharing dish to start a meal. They come with a tasty aioli that’s perfect for dipping. They certainly disappear quickly when we get them!
Crispy skin salmon is another favourite here. The skin is indeed crispy and the fish is always nice and juicy underneath. They do also serve this without the skin if you prefer it that way. The salad is nice too with the added fruity crunch of colourful pomegranate seeds. It also has fennel, apple, in it. The salmon comes drizzled in a nice sriracha aioli too for added tanginess. Then there’s the lemon for that final squeeze!
Like many cafe’s, you order your food at the counter, get a number to display on your table and the meals are delivered to you when ready.
The Shed is a nice airy place with plenty of room. You don’t feel crowded and the service is always fast and friendly. It’s a good place to visit for a casual bite.
