A good buffet with a wide range of tasty choices is a wonderful thing. Café Opera is one of those places. Sitting upstairs on level 1 inside the InterContinental Sydney it offers diners a great selection of food from starters through mains and on to desserts. Speaking of desserts, lets start with them! It’s a massive range which is great and so hard to try them all. We gave it a go though!
Of course there was plenty of seafood there too. They had a pile of fresh prawns, Sydney Rock oysters, green-lipped mussels and plenty of smoked salmon.
They have plenty of antipasto goodies too. Then there’s the roast meats with several choices available every day. The chicken drumsticks were delicious as well.
There are cheese selections as well as plenty of veggie and salad dishes.
If you’re after Asian food then there’s a good range as well. They have a daily sushi selection, dumplings, buns and noodle dishes.
Café Opera is in a pleasant room. The food areas are well spread out making it easy to browse and make selections. It’s always a popular place so booking is probably preferable.
Café Opera is a really good buffet. It’s somewhere that will satisfy most people with plenty to choose from and good quality throughout. The beauty of returning here regularly is that you’ll always have some favourites available as well as new choices.
