Emperors Garden Bakery
75 Dixon St
Chinatown, Sydney
This small bakery in Chinatown does a roaring trade. They have a range of breads, cakes, pastries and hot and cold treats. It’s part of the Emperors Garden network there that comprises a restaurant, a bakery and a hole in the wall selling Emperors puffs.
Not only do they serves cakes and other sweet treats, they also serve a wide range of “yum cha” items as well - hot and cold. The idea of having take away yum cha for a quick bite is certainly appealing.
The wide range of sweet treats here is also hard to resist. There are walls of them. This place is a sweet tooths delight.
We’d already eaten when we wandered past here but we still had to buy something! We ended up grabbing a few of their egg custard tarts. They must go through a lot of these here as a fresh tray of them arrived while we were there.
For a sweet hit or even a take away yum cha meal for one of two, this is your place. We hadn’t been inside here before but now we know it’s here we will be dropping by again.
