Textbook Boulangerie Patisserie

This fairly simple place hides some of the tastiest treats you'll find around here. We dropped in by chance as we were shopping nearby. We needed something to fuel us for our retail therapy and this proved ideal. They have a lot of very pretty cakes and pastries but we decided on hot food on this occasion.
Mlady ordered a pork and fennel sausage roll. It was massive. The flaky crispy pastry was perfectly baked and the filling had plenty of flavour. It looked impressive and tasted just as good.
Sir chose a pie - possibly thinking it was bigger. It was, but only because it was packed with so much meat. He had a beef and red wine pie and loved it. He said he hadn't had a pie with this much meat in it before - a big call.
We also had a few cold drinks as well - more energy for our shopping. They do have coffee of course but we just felt like something cold on this hot day.
This was a great find. We'd gladly revisit - and probably will soon. Their cakes looked so nice and we must grab some or their artisan breads too.
