For a seriously great burger and food that is a twist on the word "fusion" Burgers Anonymous X Hopstix certainly falls into this category. They serve tasty burgers and they serve dishes that are Vietnamese influenced. So you get the both of best worlds.
From the Burgers Anonymous side of the menu we had their signature burger The Heisenburger. This was made up of - double sirloin beef patty, double cheese, crack bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles topped with B.A sauce. This really was so good and how amazing was the bacon! It had an amazing crunch - as bacon should have. Absolutely loved this burger and we can see why it is their signature burger.
Chips are mandatory of course with burgers so we just had to have these. They were yummy with bacon bits and cheese - very more -ish.
From the Hopstix Vietnamese side of the menu we had all of the following:-
The BBQ pork skewers which were marinated in special Vietnamese spices. These were such a nice side addition with our meal.
The crispy skin chicken served with tomato rice was delicious. The crispy skin - was just that - so incredibly crispy. It made a nice crunchy sound as you cut into it. The chicken was succulent and moist not at all dry. Combining this with the tomato rice made for a really tasty dish.
Loving salads we tried the stir fried beef rice noodle salad. Stir fried beef goes so very well in salads and it was cooked perfectly. The combination of the sweet sauce with the beef and the rice noodles went so well. This dish had nice flavours and textures and we both enjoyed this.
Another beef dish we tried was similar to a beef stew. The beef just fell away as you cut into it. It was so tender and it really tasted so nice. There were vegetables and egg noodles and it made for a very tasty hearty meal.
The food at Burgers Anonymous X Hopstix is really very good and the servings are substantial. The 2 "East meets West" menus have a good range of dishes that both all go so well together. To combine your meal with a yummy burger followed by a tasty Vietnamese meal is a unique "fusion" where you get the best of both worlds.
