There’s lots to choose from in this comfy, casual venue. It’s a relaxed place to grab a quick bite or settle in for the evening. It’s BYO too and there’s a bottle shop close by. They have dine in, take-away, home delivery and functions. We were there to dine in.
We started with a serving of more-ish prawn crackers, which had a wonderful bite to them. It was hard to stop eating these and we ate far to many of them!
Money bags are a bit of a favourite with us, so we had these as one of our entrees. These golden pastry parcels were filled with minced chicken, corn and crushed peanuts and served with sweet chilli sauce. They had a lightly crisped outside with plenty of filling inside. The sweet chilli sauce went well with them too!
Our next starter was a serving of dim sims. These steamed treats were filled with minced chicken and wrapped in wonton sheets. They were topped with fried garlic and served with sweet soy sauce. They certainly were very big and tasty dim sims too with plenty of minced chicken in them. Dipping them in the sweet soy sauce was lovely!
We wanted a prawn dish and went with the chilli jam prawns as our final starter. They were marinated with chilli jam and served with fresh chilli, garlic, lime juice and coriander sauce. The prawns were full of flavour and juicy, plump and cooked perfectly. We loved them.
Mlady loves Barramundi, so our next main was the Sweet Chilli Deep Fried Whole Barramundi. Oh my goodness! This certainly had the WOW factor! It was such an impressive dish and so visually appetising. The Barramundi was cooked perfectly. It was lovely and tender and it tasted amazing. The sauce with it was also so good. We thoroughly enjoyed this dish.
From the Stir Fried menu we chose chicken and had this with cashew nuts, sweet chilli jam, onions, shallots, capsicum and vegetables. This really was a lovely tasting dish. The chicken was nice and tender and the vibrant fresh vegetables combined well. It was a good combination of flavours and textures and it also had plenty of cashews!
A serving of steamed rice went well with our mains and soaked up all the tasty sauces and juices.
The food at We Thai Cuisine is fresh, Incredibly flavoursome and the servings are generous. Sir and Mlady dined as guests of We Thai Cuisine. A big thank you to May and Proy for taking care of us on the night. Special thanks also to The Bamboo Garden for arranging this visit.
