This place needs no introduction as it’s been a mainstay of the North Shore foodie scene for quite a number of years. It does a roaring trade - in normal times - with their back decking always packed on weekends for brunch. Now it’s a bit quieter but it also creates a real opportunity for those who always wanted to try their food. We dropped by for some much needed take away.
Sir chose a burger combination and went for the classic chicken. This was a seeded bun filled with chicken, tomato sauce, Mozzarella, chilli, garlic, anchovies, oregano and basil. It all worked nicely together and tasted great. He had a good sized serving of potato fries with it and it was all conveniently served in the one box.
Mlady didn’t need much convincing to also head for the burger range. In fact she was there first. She wanted beef in hers and chose a Butchers Burger. This had beef, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, Butchers Burger sauce and McClures sweet and spicy pickles. It was tangy and tasty all in one. She also chose a side of sweet potato fries which were delicious too.
