WILDFLOWER SOCIETY CAFE - CAMPBELLTOWN, SYDNEY

Wildflower Society Cafe

The inspiration for the Wildflower Society Cafe is taken from Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Asian fusion. Perusing the varied menu, you can see this reflected in their amazing dishes. Gorgeously decorated, you can sit, eat, relax and enjoy a scrumptious meal whilst contemplating your retail therapy.

We had our all-important first coffee of the day. Sir had his skim flat white and Mlady had her weak soy cappuccino. The coffees are good here, so it was a great start.

Sir wanted to try the mango and banana Lassi, so we decided to share one. This incredibly tasty drink, with great flavours, was made with mango, banana, yoghurt, milk, cream foam and banana chips. It was a fruity sensation. We loved it.

Sir went with the Wild Benny with added smoked salmon. This was corn fritters, crispy potato, herbed hollandaise sauce, baby spinach, poached eggs, sweet potato crisps and burnt sage butter. It was very impressive when it arrived. It’s a real wow factor dish that combines some of the great brekkie ingredients in one dish. It was beautifully presented with an equally beautiful aroma and taste.

Mlady had the smashed avocado on Sonoma sourdough with heirloom tomatoes, mint, fennel, Persian fetta mousse, pomegranate gel, crushed herb oil and a poached egg. This was so good. The egg was cooked perfectly and oozed wonderfully. It was so fresh with so many great flavours and combinations.

Both dishes were works of art and it was a shame to eat them - but we did and thoroughly enjoy them we did too. After our scrumptious dishes we shared a warmed Oreo cookie. It was divine and had a nice soft crunch with a delectable oozey centre.

We had a bit of room left (we’re not sure how) and also shared the Baklava cheesecake French toast. This was another wow factor dish. You could taste that gorgeous Baklava. It had a nice level of sweetness that was perfectly balanced. We both enjoyed this wonderful fusion dessert.

The food here is fresh, with delectable flavours and it’s all beautifully presented. There is so much to choose from on the menu and you will certainly not leave hungry.

Sir and Mlady dined as guests of Wildflower Society Cafe. Big thank you to Victoria, co-owner, for taking time from her busy schedule to chat and take care of us on the day. Thank you also to Ann the manager for looking after us. Special thanks to Chloe from The Hype for arranging this visit.
