Bar Coluzzi
322 Victoria St
Darlinghurst, Sydney
We visited this quaint café in Darlinghurst for brekkie that has both inside and outside seating. Inside is cosy and there is boxing memorabilia that plays tribute to Luigi Coluzzi who was one of the men who introduced the espresso to Sydney.

We ordered the all-important first cuppas of the morning. Sir had his skim flat white and Mlady her weak soy cappuccino. Sadly Sir – not paying attention put sugar in Mlady’s coffee. Sir was not in the good books but Mlady graciously drank her cuppa.
Sir, loving his combo of salmon and avocado ordered the weekend special – Salmon Stack. This was Tasmanian smoked salmon, avocado, tomatoes, onion, capers and a poached egg all served on a toasted bun with ricotta. Sir loved this. It was fresh, vibrant and the egg was nice and gooey – how he likes it.
Mlady had scrambled eggs on sourdough. This being a favourite combination for her – she enjoyed it. Mlady loves her pepper with her eggs and put plenty of this on.
Bar Coluzzi is a small place with big appeal. The food is good and it is popular - for good reasons.
