Creative Gourmet has been around for a long while, churning out tasty pizza’s to the local community, and those further afield. It’s a popular place too with the bulk of their orders being take away, but the also deliver within a certain area. We were after take away on a cold night so we could chill (not literally) at home. It was one of those nights!
Seafood, basil and sweet chilli. Those three in combination grabbed us straight away. This was the Iceland and it had a garlic and tomato sauce topped with a medley of seafood including BBQ king prawns, BBQ octopus and crab meat as well as sun-dried tomatoes and the previously mentioned sweet chilli sauce and fresh basil. It was such a tasty combination on a lovely base.
Our next choice was just as creative (pun intended) and just as spectacular too. The Mexicali certainly looks Mexican. As soon as you open the box there’s a sea of corn chips sitting on top of a steaming pizza. The smells are Mexican too with it having spicy lean beef on pinto beans with guacamole, sour cream, hot Mexican salsa, diced fresh tomato and of course those crispy corn chips. For take away or delivery the guac come in a separate container to add at home. Good thinking! This one had a nice bite to it but it wasn’t over the top. It was filling and very tasty!
Do you choose garlic pizza or garlic bread as a side? Some choose neither of course. In this instance, we chose both! Yes it was indulgent but hey, life’s worth living! This kept us both happy too as Sir loves the pizza version and Mlady the bread. We did share though - but only a bit! They do both so well here!
While they do have an eat-in area at the venue it seems to rarely be used. Most arrive for take away orders or else order home delivery. It’s a roaring trade though.
The pizza’s here are very good. they have traditional topping combinations as well as plenty of more exotic mixes too. There’s plenty of topping too and it tastes great.
