Deck Bar & Dining
23 The Strand
Dee Why, Sydney
Spring is here and taking advantage of the glorious weather we popped to Dee Why for a tasty lunch near the water at Deck Bar and Dining. We sat outside, took in the sunshine and ordered a couple of Corona’s which were light and refreshing.
As an entree we had a fave of ours - a Margherita pizza. Loved the fresh basil. The aroma was so good and taste even better. The other entree - another fave was salt and pepper squid. This was cooked perfectly. Nice and soft inside, lightly crisp outside.
We decided on the seafood platter for two but it can really serve more. It had a big piece of delicious beer battered fish, oysters, salt and pepper calamari, slow cooked chilli lobster, grilled chilli garlic prawns, kingfish ceviche, grilled salmon, a serving of fries and house salad. Of course there were the lovely sauces accompanying the different dishes too. Yum Yum and Yum! This had a great selection of different seafood which we thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend.
The crispy fries and salad that came with the seafood platter went perfectly.
There are several areas to sit at in Deck. There’s the outside area which is hugely popular, especially on a fine day. Then there’s the downstairs inside area which still has those views out over Dee Why Beach. Of course there is the upstairs inside area that has it all too, just higher up!
We left Deck very impressed. The food was great, the service matched this and it’s in a wonderful location gazing out over Dee Why Beach. It was well worth the visit.
