Eastwood Seafood Restaurant
167 Rowe St
Eastwood, Sydney
With a name like Eastwood Seafood Restaurant you’d think we were heading here for seafood. Not so this time! In fact Sir was after a simple plate of tasty noodles. He had an itch for this and it needed scratching! Eastwood was our destination, with no bookings in place, but we knew we’d find something in this Asian food mecca. There’s no doubt this place is popular. It was lunch time but it was packed. We managed to score a table for two quickly though and settled in to order.
Sir spied the fried home-made noodles with shredded duck and XO sauce and his decision was made. He’d wanted noodles, he loves duck and he also likes a dish with a hit to it. This ticked all the boxes. The added bonus was the size of the serving. It was massive with plenty of duck meat throughout it and a sauce with spice and bite. He loved it.
Mlady wasn’t in a noodle mood. She spotted an old favourite of hers, sweet corn and crab meat soup. It was a good sized bowl of steaming hot soup with plenty of crab meat and lots of sweet corn. It tasted exactly as she expected and hoped it would too.
She also fancied something else too and grabbed a serving of the mixed entree. The three piece serving was hot, crispy and tasty.
We also had a pot of the ever present and obligatory Chinese tea. This brew really does go well with a Chinese meal The good thing too is that they top the pot up constantly too.
We didn’t get a chance to try any of their seafood this time, but thgere was certainly some on nearby tables. that said, most tables seemed to have the usual range of Chinese dishes rather than purely seafood ones.
We enjoyed the food we had on this visit. It was tasty, came in big servings and arrived quickly tomthe table. It was also very affordable too.
