This place is so laid back and such a great spot to drop by for a bite or a drink. With its Carribean influences you can grab jerk food and rum based drinks - plus lots more. It’s bright and lively and eye-catching as soon as you go through the door. The service here is great too - fast and friendly and very helpful as well.
Our continued hunt for the best cosmopolitans in Sydney was again in play on this visit. Whilst Rosie Campbells certainly has a great range of rum based drinks, they do offer plenty more including the much sought after cosmo. The one here was a lovely version too. It came beautifully presented and had great colour and flavours.
As this is a rum bar, this means trying a rum based drink. You do notice the presentation here - they take pride in serving drinks that impress as soon as they arrive at the table.
Having a drink often means having a bite too. Even though this was simply drink time we couldn’t resist having something small to eat. For us, as we were having dinner later on, it needed to be something smallish. We settled on the sweet potato wedges with jerk aioli. We loved the wedges themselves but the jerk aioli was the star. We couldn’t get enough of it!
There’s such a great layer of fun going on here. Bright signs everywhere. Colour popping all over the place. Music in theme and food and drinks to match it all.
We were only here for a short visit this time, but it was a memorable one! We’re super keen to revisit and for longer next time. The food looked good and we want to try more of the menu. Then there are the drinks - and there’s plenty more to sample from the list!
