Endeavour Tap Rooms
39-43 Argyle St.
The Rocks, Sydney
You will find the Endeavour Tap Rooms in Sydney’s famous Rocks area, just a short walk from Circular Quay. Its situated in a building that once housed Sydney’s longest running colonial hotels dating back to the 1880’s. The space has been completely refurbished with the interior boasting modern and art deco references. The feel is a mixture of classic and contemporary with some impressive light fixtures hanging off the ceiling.
Our visit to Endeavour Tap Rooms was a for a media event so the place was buzzing when we walked in. Endeavour Tap rooms has an on site brewery, which is great news for anyone who loves good beer. Whether you like Pale Ale, Amber Ale or a Draught Lager, Endeavour Tap rooms has the beer for you. We tasted a few different beers as we explored the different rooms the place has to offer. All beautifully decorated with wooden features and subtle tones bringing out the historic character of the building in a contemporary way.
It was hard for us to pick which beer we liked the most. We generally like Pale Ales more than anything but the Endeavour Reserve Amber Ale was pretty hard to beat. It had a strong flavour with a hint of sweetness at the end. We were also pleased to find out that Endeavour only uses Australian in their beer with absolutely no preservatives.
Of course, beer is not the only thing they serve here. The menu is extensive and has an American inspired pub theme. There were heaps of food samples going around, but mixing amongst the crowd and our eagerness to check out the brewery downstairs meant we didn’t manage to try any of the food. A perfect excuse to visit again soon.
Endeavour Tap Rooms is open 7 days till late. They’ll soon be launching tours of their brewery as week so be sure to check out their website for more information and to book. It’s well worth a visit, we can assure you!
