Kurtosh

We love these sweet bready treats. If you haven't had a kurtosh you have to give it a go. However, Kurtosh (the venue) has a lot more than just these.
It's actually quite a big place here - with scattered tables and a very long counter full of different treats. But we were here for a kurtosh! It's a sweet beard-like dough that's stretched and then wound around a drum in a spiral, brushed with melted butter and rolled in cinnamon sugar then cooked - often over coals - until it is golden brown. It's a bit like a cinnamon dounghnut in some ways - but you peel off bits of it as you eat it.

The cakes, cheesecakes and mousse are in giant trays and you buy your pieces of them by weight. Just say how much you want when they're cutting it up for you and they work out the price.
The duo mousse cake we also had was another winner. We had a big chunk of it too and it was delicious.
Kurtosh - great desserts that are a little bit different from the usual but well worth trying. The food here will certainly satisfy anyone with a sweet-tooth too!
