Tella Balls Dessert Bar
Castle Towers, 6-14 Castle St
Castle Hill, Sydney
Tella Balls in Castle Hill offers a huge menu of Nutella-inspired desserts which just takes your breath away. Dessert is what they are all about and they all look so enticing and indulgent that it’s hard to choose. There are waffles, pancakes, crepes, shakes and some quirky choices available.
The place is bright and airy with a front counter bursting with goodies. The signature brioche-style donuts come in many different flavours as does the gelato. Diners order and pay at the counter and the dishes are brought to your table.
Of course a famous Tella Ball is a must for us to try, so we opt for a Tella Ball Slider, filled with Nutella gelato and dripping with melted Nutella. This tasted fantastic! We both loved it.
Now for something a little different – The Golden Lasagne. This had layers of Golden Gaytime mousse, chocolate biscuits and fresh cream all topped with caramel sauce and a scoop of vanilla bean gelato. Yum! This dessert had the texture of a sponge cake and was actually quite light. Very easy to eat.
The waffles and crepes on the menu looked amazing, so we chose a Crunchie Crepe to finish. It was a house-made crepe topped with Crunchie pieces, caramel sauce, melted Belgian milk chocolate and vanilla bean gelato. Nice combo too, and the crepe was quite filling.
There are multiple outlets around NSW and this one at Castle Hill is fairly new but certainly popular. It’s positioned just outside the cinemas and definitely worth a visit for a tasty post-movie sugar hit.
Those Dames dined as guests of Tella Balls Dessert Bar. Special thanks to Pascale for arranging this visit.
