The Baron
Castle Towers, 461/4-16 Castle St,
Castle Hill, Sydney
The Baron is an institution in Castle Hill. With an industrial retro-chic look and feel it immediately invites you in wanting to see and experience more. Their menu is interesting too - reflecting the venue.
So we were here at a brunchy lunch time of day and started the task of choosing what to order. Sir spied the greens, ham and egg - a combo of Parma ham, sauteed Chinese broccoli, guindillas, fried egg, gentlemans sauce and toast. It was a great mix with a perfect egg there in the middle and the rich tangy sauce was lovely.
Mlady went for the Baron deli sando - meat, condiments and pickles on a baguette. It looked so impressive as the baguette was packed. The pickles on the side also added nicely to it all as well.
Drinks were of course needed and for once we both veered away from coffee and towards cold ones! Mlady has had a passion for OJ lately, the drink that is. It was an easy choice for her to grab freshly squeezed orange juice. Sir had a refreshing iced lemon tea.
The Baron has a nice feel to it. Good food that's interesting and a bit different, nice drinks and a pleasant environment. It's well worth dropping by - but they do get busy, especially on weekends for breakfast and brunch.
