Crepes and galettes (savoury crepes) are such a simple yet great treat and you can add almost anything to them. They work so well with sweet or savoury fillings and toppings. We usually have them with sweet toppings for dessert - but not always!
Creperie Suzette is a cute place perched on Harrington Street and fronting the street in The Rocks. It’s actually inside the building occupied by the Harbour Rocks Hotel but has its own front entrance. It has a nice rustic and historic feel to it that fits perfectly with its surrounding area.
Sir went for a galette and chose La Classique. It was a combination of ham, mature cheddar cheese and egg all in a freshly made galette. The ham and cheese lightly cooked in the delicate casing and the egg sat nicely on top with it’s yolk just waiting to be popped. It was a very simple yet tasty mix that worked so well.
M’Lady uncharacteristically chose a bacon and egg roll. It was a beauty too with two - yes two - lovely sunny side up fried eggs and plenty of bacon inside a nice roll. She loved it.
Of course the French love their coffee too and they do a nice drop here to go with your food or just to have on its own.
Creperie Suzette has quite a range of dishes on offer for such a cosy place. You can get savoury galettes, sweet crepes, rolls, bagels and coffee, tea and milkshakes. They’re also licensed so you can grab a beer, wine or cider there too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here at Creperie Suzette. We’ll definitely be back. We’re very keen to try the great range of sweet crepes they offer, and maybe more of their galettes too.
