A cafe and a patisserie all in one is a We went in with the idea of grabbing some pastries but ended up elsewhere on the menu. It’s that kind of place.
This bacon and egg brioche roll was a beauty. The light tasty roll was filled with plenty of bacon and a nicely cooked egg and you can choose between BBQ sauce, relish or tomato sauce. It was filling and very good. There were plenty of them being ordered around us too!
When you order something as simple as toast and peanut butter you don’t expect it to look this good when it arrives at the table. Set on a slate board, the soy linseed toast was nicely presented on waxed paper and topped with strawberry slices as a garnish. It was pretty and tasty.
The all important morning cuppa’s were there too. They churn out a nice brew here and it arrived quickly at the table after ordering too.
It really is a working patisserie too in every sense of the word. They have a glass wall at the back where you can see the creations being made. You can also see the finished products in the front display counter too!
Youge was getting plenty of business when we visited. There was a steady stream of coffee customers, with many leaving with pastries and cakes that they hadn’t planned to get. Ind=side the cafe hot meals were flowing and the same was happening outside in their al fresco area too. We certainly enjoyed our visit and what we had.
