Pigs ears, chicken hearts, tripe - yes they have all these things here at Dainty Sichuan Noodle Express - but they also have so much more - as well as food for the slightly less adventurous. We were visiting for a slightly less adventurous quick meal and still had so many different dishes to choose from.
We both decided on wontons - such a great meal for a cold evening. Maldy went for the milder dish of wontons in chicken soup. It was a big serving of twelve wontons in a large steaming bowl of broth with a ladle to eat it all. She thoroughly enjoyed it all.
Sir was after something with a bit of kick so he chose the wontons in sour soup. There's a chilli rating for the spicy dishes to help out - one, two or three chilli's. Sir's dish was a two chilli job and this turned out to pack a massive punch. It's hard to imagine what three is like! The dish again had twelve plump wontons in a very spicy broth that would clear any sinus issues!
On entry you need to wait to be seated. Menu's will be delivered to you then too, and once you've made your choices you go to a cashier to order, pay and get a number to display.
Dainty Sichuan Noodle Express had queues out the door when it first opened and it's still very popular with some queues still at peak evening meal times around 6pm. If you like spicy food too this is a great place to visit. It's also fast so you can get in and out quickly at either lunch time or in the evening before heading somewhere else.
