We won’t say that the duckling has become a swan, but such a phrase would give some sense of the transformation this place has been through over the last year or so. It has such an inviting feel to it and the outside area is wonderful. The use of grey and pink tones really lifts it all and there are some great other touches too like the fire pit and outside bar design.
Settling in meant perusing the food menu too. We were’t after a meal but spotted the flat bread and dips and put in our order. What a great choice this turned out to be!
The selection of four dips was great, creating plenty of variety. They all tasted great too, with some beng tangy, some delicate and some a bit spicy. The za’atar crusted flat bread was a winner on its own, but also went nicely with the dips too.
We were in a hotel so drinks were of course part of the visit. It was after all the purpose for us walking through their doors! Mlady went down the non-alcoholic path while Sir grabbed a cider. As its a hotel there were plenty of choices available either on tap of by the glass or bottle.
The longer we settled in, the more relaxed and comfortable we became. It’s a great spot. The passage of time tempted us further and we grabbed a serving of chips. They lived up to expectations being hot, crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside. They disappeared quickly too!
The effort that has gone in to the place can clearly be seen and it works so well. It’s bright, airy and so inviting. We called in to simply grab a quick drink but decided to stay a bit longer. We suspect many others would do the same too!
Even though this visit was short and sweet, we’re keen to visit again to try some more of the tasty menu here and just chill in their very pleasant surroundings.
